This project focused on acoustic renovation for a large e-sports gaming arena. The space featured hard walls and smooth floors, with dozens of gaming stations operating simultaneously. Keyboard clicking, mouse tapping, player shouting and headphone leakage overlapped, creating a highly noisy environment that affected gaming concentration and increased auditory fatigue. The client also required a stylish, futuristic design to match the youthful brand positioning.
The project team selected recycled polyester fiber acoustic panels as the core wall and pillar treatment material. With an NRC rating of 0.85–0.95, the panels efficiently absorb mid-to-high frequency noise from gaming equipment and human voices, reducing overall space reverberation and improving speech clarity for team communication. The formaldehyde-free PET material ensures a healthy indoor environment for long-hour operation.
A variety of bright, futuristic colors and custom geometric cutting were adopted to create a trendy cyber-style visual effect, perfectly matching the e-sports venue’s youthful positioning. The impact-resistant and scratch-resistant material also adapts to the high-frequency use scenario of entertainment venues. After completion, the overall background noise of the arena decreased by 30%, players reported improved concentration and reduced auditory fatigue, and the stylish wall design also became a social media highlight of the venue.
