Project Overview
The project delivers noise control treatment for an auto parts manufacturing plant in Texas, USA. The workshop hosts automated stamping lines, conveyor systems and large ventilation fans that produce continuous broadband noise. Long exposure put workers at risk of exceeding OSHA occupational noise limits, and on-site verbal communication was difficult. The client needed impact-resistant, dust-proof, Class A fire-rated acoustic solutions suitable for heavy industrial operation.
Solution Configuration
- Perimeter of high-noise stamping equipment: Modular damping industrial sound barriers with STC up to 27dB. Multi-layer damping structure blocks direct noise transmission toward worker stations. Modular design allows reconfiguration when production layouts change, impact-resistant and easy to wipe clean.
- Whole workshop ceiling: High-density fiberglass acoustic ceiling tiles (NRC 0.90–0.95), absorbing reflected equipment and airflow noise, stable under dusty and wide-temperature industrial conditions. All materials meet ASTM E84 Class A fire standard. Construction was scheduled during production shutdown windows, construction period 58 days, no disruption to order delivery.
Project Results
Acceptance testing confirms noise levels at worker stations fall within OSHA permissible exposure limits. On-site speech communication clarity improved by 42%. Plant boundary noise meets local environmental emission regulations. The robust acoustic system reduces enterprise compliance risk and passed occupational health and fire audits.
