Eco-Friendly Series Polyester Boards + Ceiling Series Panels | Co-Working Shared Office, Amsterdam, Netherlands

co-working office acoustics

Project Background

This 3,800 sq m flexible co-working space in central Amsterdam includes open work zones, private booths, meeting rooms and event areas. The original open layout with glass partitions and exposed ceiling services caused obvious cross-station speech crosstalk, poor meeting audio clarity and insufficient conversation privacy. The project required eco-friendly, modern-style acoustic materials matching the creative workspace aesthetic, with compliance to Dutch building and sustainability standards.

Acoustic Solution

Partition walls and work booth interiors use 100% recycled polyester fiber boards from the Eco-Friendly Series. E0 grade formaldehyde-free with impact-resistant surfaces, the panels deliver NRC 0.85–0.95 absorption, reducing cross-workstation sound leakage and adapting to high-frequency daily use. Custom muted color palettes match the contemporary workspace design. Meeting rooms and open zone ceilings are fitted with high-density fiberglass panels from the Ceiling Series to control overhead reflections and reduce overall ambient noise. All products are factory pre-cut to modular wall dimensions for fast on-site installation.

Project Outcomes

  • Cross-workstation speech crosstalk reduced by 39%
  • Open-area reverberation time reduced to 0.7–0.9 seconds, meeting office acoustic standards
  • Meeting room speech intelligibility improved by 42%
  • All materials meet EN 13501 Class A fire safety and EU low-emission standards
