Project Challenge
The conference and banquet center of this five-star hotel includes multi-size meeting rooms and a pillarless grand ballroom, undertaking high-end business conferences, international forums, wedding banquets and brand launch events. The original hard marble walls and high ceilings caused obvious echo and inter-room sound leakage. Speech intelligibility was poor during meetings, and event sound easily interfered with adjacent venues, failing to meet the acoustic standards of high-end hospitality services. The hotel required a high-end, fire-safe acoustic solution that matched the luxury interior style.
Solution
Full-wall flame-retardant fabric-wrapped acoustic panels were installed in all conference rooms and the grand ballroom. With an NRC rating of 0.85–0.95, the high-density core delivers full-frequency sound absorption, eliminating indoor echo and greatly reducing inter-room sound transmission. Premium flame-retardant fabric was custom-selected in warm deep tones to match the hotel’s luxurious decoration style. All materials meet the strictest commercial fire safety codes, suitable for high-capacity public gathering venues.
Results
After renovation, speech intelligibility in conference venues improved dramatically, and sound isolation between rooms reached the high-end hotel standard. The center can now smoothly undertake high-level international conferences and large-scale banquet activities without mutual acoustic interference. The refined fabric finish also enhances the premium atmosphere of the venue, effectively improving the hotel’s conference reception grade and revenue capacity.
