Project Background
This 2,200 sq ft premium dental center in central Singapore includes 10 treatment rooms, a sterilization zone, a waiting lounge and consultation suites. Original thin partitions and hard clinical surfaces caused clear inter-room sound leakage. High-speed drill noise, suction equipment sounds and consultation conversations were easily overheard, compromising patient privacy and increasing pre-treatment anxiety. The project required wipeable, hygienic acoustic materials matching the calm luxury clinic aesthetic.
Acoustic Solution
All treatment and consultation rooms are lined with full-height medical-grade fabric wrapped panels from the Fabric Series. Built around high-density fiberglass core delivering NRC 0.85–1.0, the panels use stain-resistant flame-retardant medical fabric that supports daily wipe-down disinfection. They absorb internal reflections, eliminate flutter echo and cut airborne sound transmission between rooms. Clinic ceilings are fitted with high-density smooth fiberglass tiles from the Ceiling Series to reduce overall ambient noise in public and circulation zones. All materials use low-VOC formulations suitable for enclosed healthcare environments.
Project Outcomes
- Inter-room sound leakage reduced by 43%
- Patient pre-treatment anxiety scores decreased by 34% per clinic satisfaction surveys
- All materials withstand daily clinical disinfection with no performance degradation
- Products meet ASTM E84 Class A fire safety and healthcare indoor air quality standards
