Polyester Acoustic Panels | Corporate Headquarters Open-Plan Office Acoustic Solution

polyester acoustic panels

Project Overview

This project delivers acoustic optimization for a 3,200 ㎡ corporate headquarters, covering open-plan workstations, multi-size conference rooms, executive suites and public reception areas. The original space adopts extensive glass partitions and painted drywall, resulting in long reverberation time, noticeable cross-station voice crosstalk and insufficient speech privacy in meeting zones. The client requires acoustic solutions that meet Class A fire protection standards, E0 environmental protection requirements, and maintain a minimalist high-end interior style without obvious functional retrofitting traces.

Solution Configuration

  • Open work zones: Full coverage of 100% recycled polyester fiber acoustic panels with an NRC rating of 0.85–0.95. E0 grade formaldehyde-free and ultra-low VOC emission, panels are custom color-matched to the interior palette, CNC precision cut and seamlessly spliced to absorb mid-high frequency noise such as human voice and keyboard percussion.
  • Conference rooms & executive suites: High-density fiberglass core fabric wrapped acoustic panels (NRC 0.85–1.0) are installed on main reflection surfaces of side and rear walls, optimizing first reflection points, eliminating flutter echo and improving meeting speech clarity and negotiation confidentiality.
  • Reception & public corridors: Decorative shaped polyester panels are partially applied to balance sound absorption and visual aesthetics in public areas.
All materials carry ASTM E84 / EN 13501 Class A fire certification. The whole project is constructed in phases during night hours, with a total duration of 22 days, no disruption to normal daily operations.

Project Results

Post-completion testing confirms reverberation time in the open office area is reduced to the recommended standard for modern office buildings. Cross-station voice crosstalk is significantly reduced, and speech privacy in negotiation rooms meets corporate confidentiality benchmarks. The acoustic materials integrate highly with interior decoration, with no visible industrial transformation traces, and pass indoor air quality and fire safety assessments in one acceptance.
