Project Overview This high-end wellness centre in Barcelona covers 2400㎡, including private massage suites, sauna resting lounge, aromatherapy room and reception area. Original hard tile and marble surfaces caused sound reflection. Water flow sound, background music and guest conversation overlapped. The client wanted soft acoustic finishes that fit spa relaxation atmosphere, moisture-resistant, easy to wipe, low VOC.
Solution Configuration Private treatment rooms adopted full-height fabric wrapped acoustic panels, fiberglass core NRC 0.85–0.98. Custom soft neutral fabric, water-repellent and stain-resistant, can be wiped regularly. The public lounge and corridor feature walls used recycled polyester acoustic boards with custom soft colour matching, absorbing reflected speech noise. All materials meet EN 13501 fire requirement and EU indoor low VOC standard.
Project Result Reverberation time of private suites reduced to 0.7–0.9s. Sound leakage between adjacent massage rooms decreased by 36%. The quiet and soft acoustic environment greatly improved guest relaxation experience. Acoustic finishes integrate with the spa’s warm natural interior design.
