Project Overview
This recording studio complex in Milan includes 3 live rooms and 2 control rooms, total area 760 ㎡. The core challenge was cross-leakage between adjacent studios, plus internal standing waves and uneven frequency response. Producers needed accurate monitoring acoustic conditions and strict sound isolation between rooms.
Solution Configuration
Control room walls and ceilings were covered with graded fabric wrapped acoustic panels to adjust absorption at different frequencies. Independent floating floor and acoustic isolation system were adopted to block airborne and structure-borne sound transmission. Fabric colour was customized to suit the studio’s low-light creative atmosphere.
Project Result
Inter-room sound isolation reaches STC 58. Internal standing waves are eliminated, and frequency response becomes flat for accurate monitoring. The soft fabric wrapped acoustic panels create a comfortable working environment for musicians and sound engineers.
